Grӧbner Bases Method for Biometric Traits Identification and Encryption
نویسنده
چکیده
Biometric identification systems are principally related to the information security as well as data protection and encryption. The paper proposes a method to integrate biometrics data encryption and authentication into error correction techniques. The normal methods of biometric templates matching are replaced by a more powerful and high quality identification approach based on Grӧbner bases computations. In the normal biometric systems, where the data are always noisy, an approximate matching is expected; however, our cryptographic method gives particularly exact matching.

Rank-Level Fusion of Multimodal Biometric Cryptosystems
In this paper we present an effective scheme that preserves the biometric templates more secured. We present a new algorithm called Enhanced Blind Encryption Algorithm for securing biometric templates between client and server and using that for authentication. There are four phases involved in this process namely, enrollment, identification, matching and fusion. During enrollment, biometric tr...
متن کاملBiometric Systems for User Authentication
Authenticating the identity of users is a critical issue in information security. Biometrics is known for recognizing users based on their physiological or behavioral traits as identifiers and these cannot be easily stolen unlike passwords or ID cards. Biometrics could be employed as the primary means for authentication, called user identification, as well as a complementary (secondary) method ...
متن کاملSoft-Biometric in Recognition of New Born?
Most of the biometric research being done is for adults and the identification accuracy of new born are least reported in the literatures. In this paper we propose a novel biometric identification method for new born babies using their face and soft biometrics. Accurate patient identification (ID) is essential for patient safety, especially with our smallest and most vulnerable podiatric patien...
متن کاملEffects of Non-Genetic Factors and Permanent Maternal Environment on Biometric Traits in Moghani Sheep
The present study investigated basic statistics for biometric traits as well as non-genetic factors that may affect these traits in the Moghani breed of sheep. The data-set was computed by using biometric records of the Moghani sheep breeding and raising station over a period of 15 years (1996 to 2012). Year of birth, month of birth, birth type and lamb's sex and dam permanent environment were ...
متن کاملBiometric Keys for the Encryption of Multimodal Signatures
Biometrics have long been used as means to recognize people, mainly in terms of their physiological characteristics, for various commercial applications ranging from surveillance and access control against potential impostors to smart interfaces (Qazi (2004)) (Xiao (2005)). These systems require reliable personal recognition schemes to either confirm or determine the identity of an individual r...
